In the newest Berenstain Bear Living Lights title, The Berenstain Bears Bless Our Pets, Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear love their pets Little Lady, Gracie, Swish, and Cutsie … they are just like part of the Bear family. So when Preacher Brown holds a special Blessing of the Pets service on Sunday, the Bear family joins in. But what starts as a peaceful gathering of Bear Country neighbors and their animal friends on the lawn of the Chapel—including dogs, cats, rats, goats, and even a snake or two—ends up needing a little heavenly intervention.

My Thoughts:

I grew up watching and reading Berenstain Bears so I love that my kiddo gets to experience all the wonders they have to offer as well. Each one always has a meaning that really makes it stand out from other kid books/shows.  This one is particularly fun because it combines two important factors- faith and pets.

Pets are among the greatest things in the world. That doesn’t mean that they can’t be a handful though, as you will learn in this book.  One little event can change an entire course of action and send things into a frenzy. Thinking quick on your feet and regaining control is something Preacher Brown knows all too well.

My daughter and I found it to be a great, quick read. It’s well written, funny, and is illustrated beautifully. I love that it has purpose and was fun to read. We will definitely be picking up another book in the series.
