Synopsis:

“Let Billy Graham, one of the world’s most beloved pastors, daily guide your child in understanding the truth of Scripture and trusting God’s great love.

Hope for Each Day: 365 Devotions for Kids presents the same messages of the bestselling devotional for adults in terms children can understand. Each day’s devotion corresponds with the theme and Scripture of the adult devotional, making it easy for families to share devotional time together.

Bring Billy Graham’s cherished wisdom and message of hope home for the child you love.”

My Thoughts:

I’ve always loved devotional books- especially those centered on faith. I love the way they take one verse or one story and break it down into terms that we can understand and relate to. This book is no different- except it’s made with kids In mind! The book offers a bright and bold cover that is pleasing and inviting. The back tells you a little about the author as well as the book. The book begins at January 1st, but you can start it on whatever day you purchase it since it’s not year specific.

Each page offers the date, a title, a verse, and  a devotional story for better understanding. The page is formatted well, which makes it easy to read.  I love that it covers a wide variety of topics and each one is easy for kids to understand. My 8 year old has been reading through this daily without any issues. She asks questions when needed, but has overall found it to be easy to understand. Reading her daily devotional has become part of her daily routine now and she really enjoys starting her day off with her faith in mind.

The last few pages of the book offer “30 days to Jesus” and “90 days through the bible”. 30 days to Jesus walks you through the life of Jesus. 90 days through the bible is exactly what it sounds like… reading the bible cover to cover in 90 days. There’s also a page to take notes on as well as a built in bookmark so that you don’t lose your spot.
