A&E has an inspirational show that is coming back for their second season. BORN THIS WAY chronicles the lives of a group of young adults born with Down syndrome as they pursue their passions while defying society’s expectations. The series also follows their parents who share their own journey of joy, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Season 2 of BORN THIS WAY premiers on Tuesday, July 26 on A&E Network. Make sure to tune in and check it out! The show is truly inspirational and  will inspire you to be a better person. Everyone is made differently, but we all have hopes, dreams, and needs. After watching just one episode with my daughter, I feel the need to get out in my community and make a difference. To put a smile on someone’s face and to really be the change that I want my daughter to see growing up. It’s a series I definitely plan to keep up with!

So Who Inspires You?

While there are so many people that inspire me and make a difference in my life, I have to say my biggest right now is all of the teachers that are preparing for the new school year. With school starting back in just a couple of weeks I am nervous, but excited for what the new year will bring for my kiddos. They are growing up so fast! My son is going to 9th grade and my daughter 2nd. We’ve began a little bit of our back to school shopping, but still have plenty left to do. Seeing their excitement on their faces is what makes it all come together for me.

My daughter is very thoughtful and loves to bring a gift to her new teacher on the first day of each school year. We don’t go crazy and spend tons of money on it, but we try to get something practical, but fun.  I find it as a great way to say thank you to the teachers and really show how much we appreciate them. Afterall, it takes someone special to be able to handle and keep the attention of 20 kids all at once.   They  show massive amounts of patience, grace, understanding, and love everyday with a smile on their face. They truly make a difference in our kids lives! My daughter has been lucky to have had such AMAZING teachers thus far. There’s absolutely no way I could thank them enough, but I try to do what I can to show them.

My Mother inspires me because she has a zest for life and a never quite attitude about everything that comes her way and does her best to rub that off on others around her. She worked her way through school and paid for her education and while being an amazing Mother growing up, also worked full time to help support the household. She in an inspiration.
