The holidays always have a way of bringing families together. Everyone enjoys great food, laughter, and of course a ball game (or maybe a parade)! My family is centered around sports so it’s game day everyday! If we aren’t watching a game, we’re watching a tv show or movie centered around a game. That’s how I discovered my love for The Blind Side.
I’ve always loved Sandra Bullock so it was an instant must see for me. However, I really loved the strong ties to family , sports, and overcoming obstacles. The movie offered a roller coaster of emotions. I cry every time I see it, but I also smile and cheer as well. I can relate to certain aspects of the movie and I love how well they portrayed Michael Oher’s life. The movie allowed us an inside peak into his life, his hurdles, his determination, his support system, and more.
While The Blind Side is my all time favorite film, My hubby loves the Rocky series. There’s nothing like a good boxing movie to get your blood pumping! Even better that the series has continued, but has shifted from Rocky to Adonis Creed. We really enjoyed watching Creed together and felt that it not only added to the Rocky series, but it honors it as well.
Speaking of great sports films…. Did you know that Creed II is set to release in just a few days?!? I can’t wait!
CREED II is a testament to the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of family.
Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.
On November 21, 2018, the one-two combo of Rocky and Creed, who onscreen inspired us all to “go the distance,” and fight for our dreams returns to the big screen to face their biggest challenge yet – both on and off the ring.
